Summertime means beach volleyball! And beach volleyball means Cobra Volleyball Net systems!. Don’t be fooled into thinking you need a beach at the seaside to play beach volleyball, there are sand volleyball (as the NCAA calls the sport) courts across the country from Arizona to Michigan. Viper Outdoor Volleyball Net Systems are made for beach volleyball. They can be put up within 5 minutes and with Cobra’s Flex Pole technology the 32 foot regulation net stays taught.

Tips for playing Beach Volleyball

  • The first thing to remember is that sand is a tough surface. Seasoned players make it look easy but one game will make you realize those beach volleyball bodies were earned through hard work and fitness. You’ll be slower in the sand so you have to learn to time your moves for this shifting surface. It will take a few weeks to get the muscles conditioned so you don’t feel like your feet are made of legs. This process is called getting your sand legs.
  • Take small steps This will help your endurance. Watch more experienced players and see how they move, and imitate their way of moving.
  • There are no shoes in beach volleyball so your feet will get hot. One trick to dealing with this is to bury your feet in a few inches of sand to keep them cool between moves.
  • Hydrate! You’ll get dehydrated without realizing it so get a head start and drink water hours before you get on the court.
