Origins Searching for something to remind me of California in the snow covered barren Iowa countryside, I started a men's volleyball program. Under my brilliant tutelage, it blossomed into a subfive-hundred program that achieved recognition throughout the USVBA's cornbelt region as being able to outdrink any team at any level.
 Height 5' 11"
 Year Born 1967
Vocations Either national accounts internal wholesaler for the New England region or Regional support manager for the Southwest region for General Electric, Long Term Care, or the head Llama trainer for Marine World's new exhibit.  Education BA from Grinnell College in History, and soon to have an MBA.

Divisions Played Work and school have divided me from the game. My current rankings: Men's; Beer bracket, Six man; picnic division; Coed; jungle league.
Accomplishments Perfected the displacement art of taking all frustrations in the volleyball world and objectifying them in my hat. Imparting some special knowledge about the game that can help pull any player through the end of tight games--that is to have a stress absolving throwing of the hat. I have found the hat to be useful in a variety of settings. It truly has served me well, and the hat has always been a hit with the ladies. But enough bad puns. The technique of taking frustrations with bad play, poor officiating, low energy partners, empty coolers, bad luck and miscommunication, focusing all of the aggression into your hat and then releasing it (quite literally) has served me well over the last decade. This is truly a high tech part of my volleyball equipment.
